Penny

Penelope was our favorite pet. Penny, as she was more affectionately called, had nearly an acre to frolic in. She had plenty of friends around the cul-de-sac that she visited from time to time. In part due to her styling, she was considered the most attractive and talented puppy in the neighborhood. Penny was the envy of the neighborhood, both among canines and humans.

Penny walked on both her front and hind legs, jumped through hoops and was adored when she performed. She also garnered unpredictable laughs. This Pomeranian pup had a mind of her own, and was equally shy, which in show business can be a bad thing for most performers except when you live with a family of clowns. Stage fright can be traumatic, even for puppies. Penny had a tendency to hyperventilate when exposed to large crowds and unfamiliar places. This was both harrowing and humorous.

Penny is featured here in her circus outfit. Her fur was kept trimmed and well groomed so she looked her best when she performed as a baby lion. While she seemingly enjoyed performing, she had a one track mind that centered on food. Penny enjoyed treats. Her favorite was popcorn.
